I am pleased to announce that Gallows Press will be showcasing its writers in the anthology, The Gallows, which includes
my short story, "Rotting Love".
Gallows Press will also be publishing my latest novel, Bleeding the Vein! More information to follow
soon.
Bleeding the Vein entails the legend of the Aswang from the Philippines. With a wife and mother-in-law that grew
up with the legend, I had the perfect opportunity to add my own twist to this fascinating tale.
A description:
Sometimes,
legends cross borders.
For Retired Navy Petty Officer First Class, Eddie Townsend, falling in love with a beautiful Filipino stripper
on his first tour of duty was a mistake he would always regret. He couldn’t resist her intoxicating temptations, even when she made
him do ever-stranger things, and soon peels back the thin veil masking her true identity.
Now a struggling alcoholic, Eddie lives
a reclusive life in Shadow Creek, a small Maine fishing community. Local fishermen know to walk around his sprawled body in Town Square
most mornings and use his predicament as a source of amusing conversation. When a putrid stench fills the air as the fog rolls in,
memories of his time in the Philippines claw their way to the surface and threaten his complete demise.
Something is visiting the
pregnant women and small children of Shadow Creek. When a little boy disappears, Eddie has a chance to end the source of his nightmares
and salvage his redemption.
Listed below are a few cool links for those who dare to discover something extremely interesting, fascinating,
and... well...at times, disgusting. The legends I grew up with cannot even compare to those in other parts of the world.

"Arsenault explodes back onto the horror scene with a fully realized, lyrical novel about lust, love and loss. A small Maine sea town
becomes the focus of an epic battle with an evil entity that is both familiar and utterly original. The aswang will haunt your dreams.
Well done!" (Bleeding the Vein)
– Nate Kenyon, award-winning author of Sparrow Rock and Diablo: The Order
"Arsenault’s first
novel is hot-blooded dark prose of the first order. Forgotten Souls will take you to a place where—finally—pitch black can’t possibly
get any darker.”
– Charlee Jacob, author of Haunter, Dread in the Beast, and Vestal
“His writing is fierce, creepy, and at times, downright gritty."
– Fantasy Bookspot
